For those who don’t want to take part in the hassle of downloading and installing iOS 9, you may opt for iPhone 6c or iPhone 7 which come pre-installed with the new mobile OS. For those with an iPad, you won’t have to worry about compatibility issues as iPads can last for longer period of time before being deemed not strong. Normally, iPads last for three iOS launches before being culled. iPad 2 remains to be a good example; a second generation iPad launched early 2011 and can still support iOS 8 although it’s a bit slower.

Most probably, iPad 2 could be done away with very soon as poor performance issues for iPad 2 running iOS 8 have been experienced over the years.
